Giveaway Rules

3. Who can enter

You must be at least 18 years old, a legal resident of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, and have a Paddle Country Club account in good standing. Employees, contractors and immediate family or household members of the Sponsor are not eligible. One account per person; accounts created to earn extra entries will be removed.

4. How to earn entries

Every entry is earned by doing something free in the app. No entry can be bought, and buying anything earns no entries. One point is one entry.

Points are removed if the thing that earned them is undone — leaving a game, being marked a no-show, or a listing being taken down. Points have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and are not your property. We may remove points or disqualify an account for fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, or attempts to manipulate the count.

5. No purchase, ever

Every way to earn an entry listed above is free. Nothing in the Shop, and no payment of any kind, earns an entry or improves your chances — buying something earns you nothing in this giveaway. You never have to spend money to enter or to win.

6. Prizes

The prize pool depends on how many members Paddle Country Club has when the entry period closes:

Each winner receives US $500. No substitution, transfer or cash alternative except at our discretion or where required by law. Prizes are paid electronically; a winner who cannot be paid by the method we offer may forfeit the prize.

7. How winners are chosen

At the close of the entry period, winners are drawn at random from all entries, by computer, with each point counting as one entry — so somebody holding twenty points has twenty chances and somebody holding one has one. A winner is removed from the pool before the next name is drawn, so no person can win more than once in a single draw.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received. The number of entries in the draw is shown live on the leaderboard.

8. Winner notification

Winners are notified in the app and by email to the address on their account. If a winner cannot be reached within fourteen (14) days, does not respond, is found to be ineligible, or declines the prize, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner drawn. We may require a winner to confirm their identity, age and eligibility, and to sign an affidavit of eligibility and a liability and publicity release, before the prize is paid.

9. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for all taxes on a prize. Where required, we will collect tax information (such as a Form W‑9) before paying, and may report the prize to the relevant tax authority.

10. Publicity

Except where prohibited, accepting a prize allows us to use the winner’s name, username, city and profile photo in connection with announcing the result, without further payment. Winners’ names and their number of entries are shown on the leaderboard after the draw.

11. Limitation of liability

By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claim, injury, loss or damage arising out of participation in this giveaway or the acceptance, use or misuse of a prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for entries or points that are lost, delayed or not recorded because of technical failure, nor for any error in the operation of the app that affects the count.

Pickleball is a physical activity. Nothing in this giveaway is an inducement to play beyond your ability, and participation in any game, clinic or tournament is at your own risk under our Terms of Service.

12. Changes and cancellation

We may modify, suspend or cancel this giveaway at any time, including if fraud, technical failure or anything else beyond our control affects its integrity. If the giveaway is cancelled before the draw, we may award the prize among eligible entries received up to that point.

13. Disputes

These rules are governed by the laws of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to this giveaway will be resolved individually, without class action, in the courts located in Virginia.

14. Privacy

Information collected for this giveaway is handled under our Privacy Policy. Your name, photo and point total are visible to other members on the leaderboard while a giveaway is running.

15. Winners list

After the draw, winners are published on the leaderboard. For a written list of winners, email legal@paddlecountryclub.com.
